Nicosia – Kyrenia Gate
In Nicosia, the only capital city in the world divided into two parts, we begin our tour at the Kyrenia Gate. This gate was one of the most important entrances to the city during the Ottoman period. According to legend, merchants arriving in the city used to stop here, have their goods inspected, and only then enter Nicosia.
Visit to Büyük Han
Büyük Han, built by the Ottomans in 1572, is the best-preserved historic inn in Cyprus. Once a resting place for camel caravans, today it hosts art galleries, handicraft shops, and small cafés. The small mosque located in the center is one of the most striking architectural details of the inn.
Visit to Kumarcılar Han
Today, with its traditional handicrafts, souvenir shops, and small cafés, this valuable inn is one of the most enjoyable spots in Nicosia and one of the heritage monuments left on the island from the Ottoman period.
Visit to Selimiye Mosque
In the 13th century, it was built as the Gothic St. Sophia Cathedral by the Lusignan Kingdom. Known as the place where the Lusignan kings were crowned, the structure was later converted into a mosque during the Ottoman period and today continues to fascinate visitors as one of the most magnificent buildings in Nicosia.
Ledra Crossing Gate
It is the busiest point connecting the two sides of Nicosia. Free time will be given here.
Guests may stroll through the narrow streets of Nicosia or visit local restaurants
to taste the flavors of Cypriot cuisine and do some shopping.
(Meals are not included in the price.)

13:30 – Departure to Famagusta
In Famagusta, one of the most impressive historical cities of the Eastern Mediterranean;
Visit to Varosha (Closed Maraş)
Once one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Mediterranean, Varosha remained closed for many years after 1974 and became known as the “city where time stood still.” Today, the section opened to visitors offers an intriguing atmosphere reflecting traces of the past. During the free time here, guests may swim along the island’s beautiful coastline. Those who wish may also rent bicycles, scooters, or golf carts to explore the area.
Visit to Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque
Originally known as St. Nicholas Cathedral and built by the Lusignans as a cathedral, the structure was later converted into a mosque during the Ottoman period and named after Lala Mustafa Pasha, the tutor of Ottoman Sultan Selim II who conquered the island. Architecturally, it is known to have been inspired by the great Gothic cathedrals of France.
Visit to Namık Kemal Dungeon Square
Famous Turkish writer and intellectual Namık Kemal was exiled in 1873 due to his play “Vatan Yahut Silistre” and was imprisoned in this dungeon for a period. Therefore, the square is one of the important cultural points in the history of Cyprus.
