HERA OKTADIANA (JAMES COOK UNIVERSITY AUSTRALIA)

Hera Oktadiana earned her Ph.D from the School of Hotel and Tourism Management-Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Certified Hospitality Educator from American Hotel & Lodging
Association (AHLA). She was the Head of Hospitality/Tourism at BINUS University and Bunda Mulia University, Indonesia. She joined James Cook University Australia as a Visiting Scholar in
2017, then as an Adjunct Associate Professor. She is also affiliated with Trisakti Tourism Institute’s postgraduate program. Hera has various publications and receives several awards for her research
and publications. Her primary research interest is in the area of tourist behaviour, particularly the Muslim tourists. She currently holds the position of Vice President at the International Tourism
Studies Association (ITSA) and serves as an Associate Editor and editorial board for reputable international tourism journals indexed in SCOPUS.
